I am in the process of re-doing our guest room. It was looking dark and uninviting and I wanted to spruce it up a little before the holidays. It’s mostly been moving furniture around and using different bedding, but I am working on a few DIY projects for the room.
The first one I want to share with you is a thrift store purchase that I redid.
If any of you follow me on Instagram or read my last post “My Favorite Places to Buy Home Decor”, you’ve already seen the lamp that I’m using. I got this lovely item at our Goodwill outlet for only $2! I loved the shape of it and knew right off that it had potential!
After taping off the top metal part and the cord, I spray painted it with this spray paint from Lowe’s — Valspar® Color Radiance Spray Paint + Primer in Flat Caramel Honey. Great paint… and covered those flowers!
I then added a burlap shade that I picked up at Garden Ridge for $7.99 and…. done!
In the next few posts, I’ll be sharing the other projects I did from our guest room re-do and the final product of the room. Stay tuned!
