Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? It seems like I see decorations earlier and earlier every year. I saw some stores had decorations out for sale even before Halloween. I make fun of Hobby Lobby for putting their stuff out in July, but I get it — people need a lot of time to complete their Christmas crafts, especially if they’re selling them at the craft fairs going on now. But, Target? C’mon.
I actually started pulling out our stuff and decorating last weekend. I know, I know… hypocrite much? But, in my defense, I knew it was going to be a big job because I decided to actually go through all our decorations in storage and determine what can be sold in our next yard sale. I knew that would take forever. That coupled with the fact that I wanted to do quite a few projects to incorporate with what we have meant we had to start a little early this year. Also, we’re going out of town to the in-laws for Thanksgiving and I wanted the decorations to be done when we got back. One less thing I will have to worry about!
In the past, our decorations have been pretty traditional, but this year, I’m leaning towards more rustic pieces. So today, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite rustic pieces that I’ve been seeing in the stores. Maybe you would enjoy incorporating one of these pieces into your holiday décor!
