If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you know that I have been trying to get rid of a lot of the red in our home.
I had moved the rug that used to be in our dining room into our eat in kitchen area, so when we started getting rid of the red color in our kitchen, that rug was the first to go. The sisal rug that was in our family room was so uncomfortable on your feet that we decided to get a new rug for the family room and move the sisal rug to the eat in kitchen.
I had an idea of what I wanted for the family room, but I was having trouble finding anything that wasn’t cost prohibitive. I had checked all the usual suspects — Rugs USA, Overstock — and hadn’t found anything that I really liked which was a shame because Rugs USA was having an 80% off sale. (They are a great resource to start with if you’re looking for a rug.)
Then one day, I was perusing the Target website (which I often do!) and came across a rug sale!! Eureka!
When they came in, I was pleasantly surprised. Since the color I ordered isn’t available in stores, I was taking a shot in the dark that the color would work in the room, and it is actually a great color.
They seem pretty sturdy, and I’m hoping that they will hold up for a while. My only complaint is that they are a little thin for me. I wish the pile was a little more cushy, but for the price, I wasn’t expecting much.
Overall, I would buy them again and really like how they look in the space. If you’re in need of a great geometric rug and they have a color that you like, I would go for it!
