A while back, I picked up a couple of things at one of our local thrift stores. One of my favorites of which was this green glass vase — especially for only $2.12. I loved the shape. The color? Not so much.
Now I’m finally getting around to doing something with it and I wanted to use it in the guest room refresh that I’m working on. I just needed to figure out what I was going to do to change the color.
Sometimes, an epic idea turns out to be an epic fail. I just knew that if I sprayed the vase with a light shot of some of this frosted glass spray paint, it would lighten the color and give it a frosted appearance. It did not. 🙂
So, on to plan B. I decided that I was going to have to settle for white. So, I used some of this gloss white spray paint. I was pleasantly surprised that after it dried, it had a sort of milk glass look to it. Yay for small victories!
The flowers are some more of those 75% off summer stems that I got from At Home a few weeks ago. All this for only about $2. A deal!
Here’s the finished combination on the side table next to the bed in our guest room. It’s starting to come together!!
