For the most part, our guest rooms have been an afterthought… a room where all the old furniture went to die. So, this year for the holidays, I decided to spruce up our guest room to a room that I would feel comfortable spending the night in (except for the fact that our old mattress that I hated is on the bed, but that’s not the point).
This room has morphed into many things. It started out with a sort of country look with taupe walls (boring). After that, I wanted to try and unify the colors in the house and we had the guest room painted the same green color that we used in our laundry room. But, with the dark brown bedding and drapes, the room had a sad feel to it. I wanted it to feel warm and welcoming — like guests should feel!! So, I started thinking about re-doing this room for little to no money, and I really love how it turned out!
In the last few blog posts, I’ve been sharing with you the DIY projects that I’ve been working on to complete the room, and today I’m ready to show the final product!
