I was so tired of looking into our powder room at that mostly blank wall with one teeny piece of wall art on it.
So, I finally did something about it. Actually, I did it right before Christmas, but I’m just getting around to share it. Oops. 😉
I knew that I wanted to start some sort of gallery wall in there, and after looking around the house, I noticed that I have accumulated an abundance of B’s. Who knew?
I didn’t want to spend any money on this project, so I gathered them all up and a clock I already had in the master bath (that I honestly didn’t think even worked, but it miraculously works in the powder room. odd.) and got to arranging. Like always, I started by arranging the pieces on the floor and then moved the pieces to the wall once I had decided on an arrangement I liked. You can check out my previous post about grouping and arranging artwork here.
And… here’s our powder room. Please pardon the picture. The lighting in that room leaves a lot to be desired, but that’s a project for another day!
The largest piece was the jumping off point and was the art that was previously hanging in the room. The 8″ x 10″ in the lower right corner is going to be my seasonal section. Right now, it’s just holding a generic North Carolina silhouette that I made but during Christmas it held a chalkboard printable that said “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” that I downloaded from Pinterest.
It’s a work in progress… But, I think it’s a pretty good start. What do you guys think?
