Happy Summer! It’s time to get the pollen and bugs cleaned off our outdoor furniture, do some outdoor decorating, and enjoy our outdoors spaces! Wow.. can I say “outdoors” a few more times… 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen that we’ve decided to do something a little different this year and move our large table into the screened room. Truth be told that’s mostly because I’m too lazy to keep taking off the cushions every time it rains, but we won’t talk about that.
Another reason we decided to make the change is because we’ve had our resin “wicker like” furniture for going on ten years now and it has seen better days. We’ve had it in the screened porch for a couple of years now, but every time someone sits on it another large chunk of “wicker” falls off. I’m not sure it can take much more loss before it becomes totally unusable. So, we decided to move it back to the front porch where it has less of a chance of anyone actually sitting on it.
So today, I wanted to share with you our current front porch decorations!
Most of it is stuff that we already had with just a fresh coat of paint or just a good cleaning. I did pick up a couple of new things – the “Home Sweet Home” mat and the bicycle pillow are from Target and the flameless candle lantern is from Big Lots.
Yes, I know I’m breaking some kind of unwritten rule by having silk greenery in the planter beside the door. I can’t seem to keep anything alive in that planter, so this solution will have to work… for now.
On another note, we’re finally getting a storm door installed next Tuesday. I am oddly excited. 🙂
