In honor of our upcoming quickie trip to Disney, I felt like crafting myself a t-shirt to wear at the park. I’m a huge fan of the princesses, but decided to go with just a classic Minnie silhouette. Besides.. it was easier.
I started with this Mickey head silhouette and created an outline of the graphic in Photoshop.
After printing out the head, I cut it out of some red striped fabric. I found this fabric at Wal-Mart.
After that, I cut the same shape out of fusible bonding. Then, I ironed the fabric and bonding onto my t-shirt using the instructions on the package.
While that was cooling, I tied a bow out of some black and white polka dot ribbon. Then, I hand stitched the ribbon to the shirt.
And here’s the finished product….
In a perfect world, I would have masterful sewing skills and would stitch around the fabric to keep it from fraying, but I’m not. So…. let’s call it vintage style. 🙂
I can’t wait to rock this shirt in the Magic Kingdom!!
