By now, you’ve probably heard that Pantone picked Marsala as its 2015 color of the year. And, in my opinion, it’s one of the best they’ve picked in the past few years. I mean, it takes a special person to incorporate orange, radiant orchid or bright emerald into their home’s color scheme.
Marsala is a much easier color to work with — think wine or a deeper version of burgundy. It works well with cooler neutrals like gray or even warmer neutrals like a yellow toned cream or brown.
So, to give you a little design inspiration, I’ve compiled a small group of Marsala color home decor items and a few pictures of homes were Marsala is incorporated successfully into an existing color scheme.
